About Our Founder

I’m Dana Zemke, CCC-SLP and founder of Expressive Mind Therapy Group.

I started my career as a speech-language pathologist, but life took me on a detour—one that included 15+ years climbing the corporate ladder. I learned a lot, built big things, and hit milestones… but somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t showing up the way I wanted to—especially for my young son.

So I made a change. I came back to a field that makes me feel proud of how I show up—and I decided to build something of my own.

Today, I run a private speech therapy practice that serves clients of all ages with in-home, school-based, and virtual services. I created Expressive Mind Therapy Group to deliver real-life support with warmth, flexibility, and a sense of humor. Because therapy should feel like something you can actually fit into your life—and even look forward to.

I didn’t just return to speech. I became an entrepreneur, and I built a business that reflects who I am.
